We are pleased to inform you that today the European Research Executive Agency (REA) announced the closure and submission figures of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) 2024 Doctoral Networks call.
The European Research Executive Agency (REA) received 1,417 proposals and will select over 190 projects under this call.
The European Commission has published an article on the MSCA website with statistics and next steps for applicants.

This year’s submitted proposals are distributed as follows.
- Standard Doctoral Networks: 1249 proposals
- Industrial Doctorates: 80 proposals
Joint Doctorates: 88 proposals
Indicative timeline:
December 2024 to end of February 2025: evaluation by the European Research Executive Agency (REA) and external independent expert evaluators
April 2025: notification of call results to applicants
The objective of Doctoral Networks is to implement doctoral programmes by partnerships of organisations from different sectors across Europe and beyond to train highly skilled doctoral candidates, stimulate their creativity, enhance their innovation capacities and boost their employability in the long-term.
